• Imagination is free, but its worth is incalculable.

Take a look around you. Unless you are reading this in a very remote, undeveloped corner of the world, then what you are viewing are the collective imaginative efforts of thousands, if not millions, of people. Every device, every building, even the clothes you are wearing all originated with an idea. Because imagination is free, that's what we've been placing our focus.

As you have probably noticed, of late, we have gone into stealth mode. Despite the silence, we have been busy behind the scenes forming plans and creating content. To be honest, we aren't the kind of people who want to annoy you with inane updates. Perhaps it isn't the best business model, but in the end, we'd rather wait until we have something of substance to tell you. That time has arrived.

First and foremost, we are doing everything in our power to continue to bring you innovative and creative new shows. During our quest to continue production of our first series, we have been in a creative frenzy developing and refining our stories and enhancing the concept of interactive programming. The potential story lines for The Treasure Chronicles have grown in number and scope. It really is great fun to investigate the stories behind these famous lost treasures and to weave them into our show concept.

    Interactivity is everything

Without you, our idea goes nowhere. We need an engaged audience willing to watch our shows and tell us what they think should happen next. When have you ever heard that from the producers of any television show? Certainly, anyone who has ever had the notion to tell their story on screen wants people to see the denouement of their efforts. However, our stories simply can't proceed unless we have an active audience telling us what to do next. At this point, you may be thinking: "How can I interact with your show if you don't have anything for me to watch?" A valid question. While we work on the plan for continuing our pilot season, we want to keep you engaged. So we're coming up with some fun and creative ways to get you involved. We're starting a series of interactive events. They will be centered around the lost treasure theme that The Treasure Chronicles embraces. We started The Treasure Chronicles to have fun, and plan to extend that to each of these concepts. Virtual treasure hunts, real treasure hunts, puzzles, and even something that blends reality and virtuality (that is a real word). We are planning on including rewards for each of these events.

In the coming days, we'll be revealing more details about our upcoming events, plans, release dates, and much more. We are truly just getting started!

  • Where things stand.

    Roman Coins

“The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are, first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense.”
    ― Thomas A. Edison

As you may have noticed, we didn't make our crowd funding goal. It didn't come as a complete surprise to us. We asked people to take a total leap of faith. We aren't some big studio or movie star with a pet project. In an era where people have so many different ways to entertain themselves, it isn't easy to stand out. And even when you do stand out, it still isn't easy to convince audiences and sponsors to pay for your project.

“It always seems impossible until it's done.”

    ― Nelson Mandela

We aren't giving up. We believe that our idea to involve the audience is the future of entertainment media. We so strongly believe that giving the audience control is that we want to give our audience a financial stake in the concept. That's why we came up with the idea of rewards and prizes. It just seems like common sense to use technology involve the audience.

We are very happy with the fact that we accomplished what we set out to do. We created our pilot episode and we had people provide us with their input. We built the technical pieces for you to provide input to us and to control our story.  We've counted the votes and we actually now know what will happen next!  We have a team assembled to continue production.  We are ready to go with the story lines for this season and well beyond.

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”
    ― Confucius

So what happens next? We intend to try to find alternative funding for The Treasure Chronicles. We'll be looking for investors and sponsors to help us bring the concept of audience driven storytelling to life. We'll be looking for every way possible to find a way to bring our stories to life!

The Treasure Chronicles is just the beginning. We will be sharing with you some of the ideas and concepts we have for other series. We'd like you to see what we have in mind.

We will also be providing you with other ways to gain points towards rewards and ultimately towards the grand prize. We'll have some fun activities and events at

    We are just getting started!

  • Are we crazy?

We had the idea to try something completely new - to fundamentally change the way that people interact with narrative video entertainment. We knew going in that what we're proposing is radically new and different and it might be a bit overwhelming for audiences. The concept of taking traditional storytelling and giving the audience a role is probably such a crazy idea to so many traditional television producers.  It breaks so many rules and it introduces so much risk.  What if the audience intentionally screws up the story?  How do you maintain a production schedule that allows you to adapt to what the audience wants?  Is it possible to keep the story interesting and coherent with the audience controlling it?

We believe that we've figured out how to successfully address each of those questions.  Ultimately though, the question remains:  Does the audience want to interact with their shows?  Do they want to become involved in controlling the story?  We made a logical, educated guess that the answer is yes. We've put a lot at stake already based upon that answer. We've reached a crossroads and we now need to figure out if our guess was right. It would be great if we were a multi-billion dollar production studio that could throw some money at the project and see if it might work. Unfortunately, we aren't - and we don't have rich uncles and aunts waiting in the wings.

So we've turned to crowd funding in the hopes that the audience would embrace our vision. We need 7,000 people to take a small chance on our idea ($10 US). We're willing to give you tangible rewards in return. You can be at a part of something completely new and different. We can't do it without you.

  • Let the hunt begin!

We've got our prototype 'Community Page' up and ready.  You can access it from our homepage or simply go to

This is our starting point, but most of the functionality is there.  The leader board isn't reporting correctly at the moment, but we're working to get that fixed.  You are able to cast your vote! We're running this voting period for a month, and every vote will count towards deciding what happens next.

Please, please, please let us know at if you see things that don't work quite right or if you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see.  We're going to continue to make it prettier and adding on more automation and new functions.  It's all still in test mode so please be patient with us.

    Video Library

We've added a bunch of new content to our video library.  You can now access pretty much everything we've produced in the video vault.

We want to keep this going, so please consider pledging to our campaign.

  • Gran Actualización…Big Update
Welcome to our latest update.  There's been a frenzy of activity here at Immagix.  Shooting last minute pickup scenes.  Premier events.  Getting ready for funding launches.
Most importantly, getting the first episode of The Treasure Chronicles out to the World.
    • Crowd Funder Show and Plans
We've finally got a date when our segment is scheduled to be aired.  June the 1st on Fox-29-WUTV in Buffalo, NY.  Obviously, many of you are not from that area - we aren't.  They will be posting our segment online to stream at your convenience.  This is a great opportunity for us to increase our reach to people who haven't heard about our plans.
It follows that if we are going on a crowd funding show, we will have a crowd funding campaign.  Logic!  The answer to that is yes.  We need to find as many ways as possible to get our concept in front of as many people as possible.  We need to demonstrate that our idea is financially viable.  Plain and simple, we need your help.
We'll be announcing the dates very shortly and as part of our campaign, we want to offer each of our donors the opportunity to become a member for our first season.  We'll have some fun rewards as well, but most importantly, in our eyes at least, you will become one of the keystone members of our interactive community.
The dates is fast approaching, so watch this space for the upcoming announcement.
    • Episode 1 Public Release Date
As you might have seen, we had our private screening event of our first episode and we received great feedback from the audience.  Lots of questions and excitement about our very different concept.  You will get a chance to see the first episode in the very near future.  We plan to release the first episode to the public during our crowd funding campaign.  We want to give you a chance to see for yourselves what we're doing and to decide if you think it merits your attention and support.
    • Bonus TQ Points
You may have noticed that the bonus TQ points for registering early have begun to dwindle.  This will continue to happen over the coming weeks.  However, all is not lost for those you who miss the early registration boat.  There will be other ways for you to gain TQ points.  Events, polls, quizzes, and referrals are all in the works.  Remember, your TQ point total is how you win rewards.
    • Geocaching Event
We'll be announcing during our crowd funding campaign the initial "seed locations" for our geocaching event.  We have identified five locations within the United States so far.  We're pretty excited about creating our first trans-media event to be tied to our series.  If you aren't familiar with the term, it means using different kinds of media to tell a story.  Video, web, telephone, and even events in the physical (i.e. non-digital) world can be used to help tell a story.  In a sense, it blurs the line between the fictional story you watch and reality.
    • Future Series
The Treasure Chronicles is currently our main focus.  We've made tremendous progress in building the concept, writing the story lines, and assembling the team to put it all together.  We've got an additional nine seasons on the drawing boards.  The Treasure Chronicles is a fantastic way to introduce our concept for interactive shows to you because it gives you such a real vested interest - winning prizes has a way of doing that.  However, we're also betting that people will be excited by the ability to become involved in our shows in a way that hasn't been possible.
We currently have five additional series in development.  The details of the concepts will remain under wraps for now, but we'll be providing some hints about them as we move ahead.  Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words and we're working with some fantastic artists to put together some concept/promotional images for you.  They are going to be REALLY cool!
That's all we have for now.  Updates and changes will be coming fast and furious over the coming weeks.  Thanks for traveling with us on our journey to change the video entertainment experience.

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”

  • Our launch event is open to the public!

We have a limited number of tickets available to the general public.  If you will be Sacramento on Saturday, the 17th of May, please join us for food, drinks, live music, and the screening of the world's first truly interactive show.  Meet the cast, crew, and creators of The Treasure Chronicles.

  • “Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate”

The quote in the title of this post was uttered by the imitable Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean:  The Curse of the Black Pearl. Jack is dead right in his statement. If you've been following us, you’ll have noticed that we've been highlighting lost valuables worth immense fortunes.  Sometimes, however, the value of something can't be measured simply on what it will fetch at auction.

That notion will help us address a question we've often been asked:  How will we keep our stories from becoming repetitive?  How many times can you do a treasure hunt before the thrill is gone?  Certainly, we intend to introduce fun and interesting characters, engaging story lines, and obviously, since you will be controlling our stories – the element of uncertainty will always make our stories vastly different than traditional shows.

However, we also have an ace up our sleeves, tied to the opening quote.  Things of great value may not always be measured in terms of their market price.  The expression that comes to mind:  One person's trash is another person's treasure.  The doors that are opened because of this notion are fun to consider.  Quests for lost puppies?  The search for a lost teddy bear?  You get the idea.  In some cases, the quest for a grand treasure, may in fact turn out to be something vastly difference when the truth is discovered.  That is a big part of the fun of our new media format.  Our stories will never go as anyone expects, not even us - the creators.

  • Lights. Camera. Action!

We'll be shooting the final scene for the pilot episode this weekend.  Weather is forecast to be perfect - this is an incredible time of year to be filming in Northern California.  We'll be bringing 1850's California back to life this weekend.  Does it get any better than that?

  • Progress!

As we must account for every idle word, so must we account for every idle silence.  - Benjamin Franklin

    Location scouting

So here we are accounting for our relative silence the past few weeks.  Rest assured, it has not been an idle silence!  We had an excellent location scout for a future season of The Treasure Chronicles and we already have a very fun story line under development.  We should probably say story lines, as we will never have only one story line in any of our shows.  We have another location scout planned for next week.  Very excited about this one.  It will be in another beautiful, tropical location.  The lost treasure connection for this story will be based upon a mythical  legend more than historical fact.  We'll send some updates from our location scouting.

    Final scene for pilot episode

We finished casting for our flashback scene we'll be filming on the weekend of May 3/4.  Once again, we were extremely impressed with the pool of acting talent in our area.  We needed two "caballeros" to play Gold Rush Mexican and we couldn't have asked for better in the two young men we found.  We'll be covering their background in upcoming posts.  Once we finish that final scene, we will hurry to get it edited in for the final cut of our pilot episode.

    Premier Event

All of the major details have been worked out.  Music, fun, cool people, free food and drinks, and a private screening of our first episode.  That is what's in store for those who attend.  We will be opening up some tickets to the public.  Watch for details on how you can score a few.

    Crowd Funding

Still waiting for our air date from The Crowd Funder Show.  We will be jumping in with all of our collective feet once we get that date.  We absolutely love the idea that you will be able to help us for the cost of a gift card.

    Geocaching Event

We've been working out some more of the details on this.  We will soon be announcing our "seed" locations and how we might be able to include your location.  This is going to be fun!

    Beta Testing

We decided to wait until we launch our crowd funding efforts to actually run through our testing process.  This will give you a chance to see how it works live.  Expect that to happen in May.

More updates coming soon whilst we are on location scouting.  Perhaps you'll be able to figure out where in the World we are!

Until next time...keep you head down and maybe you'll stumble across something unexpectedly amazing.

  • Status Update

We have a tremendous amount of activity going on behind the scenes now.

    In no particular order:

    - Everything is arranged for our premier event in Sacramento on May 17th.  The first round of invitations are out and we'll be sending out additional ones in the coming weeks. We will have a limited number of tickets available to the public - this means you!  We'll share details on how you can score a pair of tickets.  Unfortunately, you'll be on your own with travel costs.  However, if you happen to be local to Northern California, or will be in the area on that Saturday, we'd love to have you. There will be live music, drinks, food, a chance to meet some of the cast and crew, and of course, the opportunity to be the first to see the pilot episode of The Treasure Chronicles!

    - We're making arrangements to do some pick-up shots for the first episode.  We've settled on May the 4th as the date. Very excited about this one!  We'll be recreating some scenes from the Gold Rush that tie into our story.

    - We'll be announcing all of the details about our Geocaching event on Wednesday April 2nd.  It will be an actual contest, not just an event.  TQ points will be at stake - and the potential to win rewards are tied to this event.  You don't have to be an expert Geocacher to join in the hunt.  You don't want to miss this one.

    - This week, you'll get a chance to meet one of our series most colorful characters - Henry Love.  What can we tell you about Henry?  Let's just say that he always speaks his mind.  Scott Divine, the actor playing the role, will introduce you to Henry this week.

    - We're also going to let you in on a unique concept that we'll be introducing with The Treasure Chronicles.  Our story will actually begin before before you see our first episode.  It isn't as crazy as it sounds.

    - The writer/creator of The Treasure Chronicles will actually be on working vacation in April.  He'll be scouting out potential future locations for The Treasure Chronicles.  Be on the lookout for hints.

We are into the home stretch now.  Thanks for joining us.
